Jamuna Boro through to World Championships quarters

Jamuna Boro (54 kg) on Wednesday thrashed Algerian fifth seed Ouidad Sfouh 5-0 in the pre-quarterfinals to enter the last-eight stage of the ongoing Women’s World Boxing Championships.

The 22-year-old, participating at the Worlds for the first time, dominated the bout as her punches were more accurate than the defending champion on a consistent basis during the entire duration of three minutes.
