All eyes on Jodhpur as Shah, Gehlot visit city on Friday

Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot will visit Rajasthan’s Jodhpur on Friday.

While Amit Shah is visiting here to address a mammoth pro-CAA rally, Ashok Gehlot will attend different programmes from 12 noon to 6.30 p.m. here on Friday.

Shah’s rally is being discussed as an attempt of BJP to corner Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on his home turf as he has openly announced not to implement CAA and NRC in the state while on the other hand, Gehlot’s presence in Jodhpur on the same day also highlights his pro-activeness to counterattack the opposition.

Meanwhile, the strategic decision of BJP of holding a rally in Jodhpur stands strong as it hosts thousands of Pakistani Hindu migrants, who are staying here in tough conditions for years awaiting their Indian citizenship.
